Congratulations Mrs. Bazzi’s Kindergarten Class!
Mrs. Bazzi’s kindergarten class at Hillcrest Elementary has won the “Golden Spatula” Award for following cafeteria procedures and upholding the Husky PBIS expectations during lunch. Mrs. Sanaa Saeed, our District Food Service Director, celebrated this achievement with the class.
Well done, Mrs. Bazzi’s class! Keep up the great work!
We are thrilled to share that Riverside Middle School recently held our 8th Grade Honors Assembly, a joyous event honoring the incredible academic achievements of our Riverside Ravens. Students, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate this auspicious occasion alongside School Board members, Superintendent Dr. Youssef Mosallam, and the RMS administration.
In addition to recognizing our outstanding 8th graders, we also celebrated the accomplishments of our dedicated 6th and 7th graders. As the school year comes to a close, we take pride in the future successes of our 8th graders as they transition to become freshmen at Crestwood High School.
Our event was filled with joy and pride, as captured in the photos from Honors Night last week. Join us in congratulating all our students for their hard work and dedication. 🎓👏
Here's to celebrating the achievements of today and the promises of tomorrow! 🌟

Embracing Diversity: Dr. Mosallam Speaks at WXYZ’s EDI Forum
Crestwood School District’s Superintendent, Dr. Youssef Mosallam, recently took part in a distinguished forum of Arab American leaders from Dearborn and Dearborn Heights. The event, organized as part of WXYZ’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (EDI) Speaker Series, was a unique opportunity for leaders to engage with the WXYZ team and discuss critical issues impacting our community.
During the forum, Dr. Mosallam shared valuable insights into the strides being made within the Crestwood School District to promote equity and inclusion. His comments highlighted ongoing efforts to create an educational environment where all students can succeed, regardless of their background.
Forums like these are essential as they provide a platform for leaders to exchange ideas and best practices for fostering inclusive communities. Dr. Mosallam’s participation reflects his deep commitment to these values and his dedication to advancing them within our schools.
The EDI Speaker Series by WXYZ serves as an important reminder of the strength found in diversity and the importance of understanding and unity. Through events like these, Dr. Mosallam and other community leaders are helping to pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
At our board meeting tonight, we were honored to have the Crestwood High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Matthew Ridenour, perform. The band delivered outstanding renditions of the 1967 hit “Soul Man” by Sam & Dave and the 1983 hit “Beat It” by Michael Jackson, captivating the audience with their talent and dedication.
We were also privileged to recognize Isabella Jomaa and Ali Mezher, two Class of 2024 seniors who will soon be attending the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Congratulations to these exceptional students on their remarkable achievements!
