Congratulations to the phenomenal staff and their families who joined us for a special retiree celebration at the Crestwood Board Meeting this evening! We were honored to celebrate the retirements of longtime Riverside Middle School teachers Tim Kus and Laura Benavides, along with Crestwood District Paraprofessional Adda Pinto. It was a heartfelt evening as they celebrated this milestone surrounded by their loved ones. In addition to honoring our retirees, we are thrilled to welcome Melissa Kobeissi as the new Assistant Principal of Riverside Middle School. We look forward to the exciting contributions she will bring to our district. Happy New School Year to everyone! Here’s to a year filled with growth, success, and new beginnings!

Greetings Crestwood Community, updated bus route information is as follows: All 1st - 4th , 6th - 8th , and 10th - 12th grade student bus routes remain the same as last year. All kindergarten, 5th, and 9th grade students will or have received a phone call from DEAN transportation providing them with bus route information. Additionally, parents will receive bus route information via USPS and students will receive a copy on Monday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Today marked the first day back for our dedicated teachers and staff. We began with a shared breakfast, followed by a powerful speech from Dr. Mosallam that set the tone for the year ahead. After lunch, we focused on meaningful professional development. The Crestwood School District is prepared and motivated to start the new school year strong.

Juneteenth Closure Announcement In observance of Juneteenth Freedom Day, all Crestwood School District buildings will be closed. We honor this important day, recognizing the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating freedom and equality.

Important Chromebook Information for the 2024-2025 School Year For the 2024-2025 school year, K-5 students will have Chromebooks available in their classrooms for use during school hours only. Students in grades 5-11 can keep their Chromebooks over the summer, while seniors must return theirs and settle any fines to participate in commencement. Families leaving Crestwood must return all Chromebooks and accessories to avoid fines. Chromebooks cannot be taken out of the country, so please return them before traveling. Remember, Chromebooks are for educational purposes only. Parents should monitor their use at home and report any issues to the CSD Chromebook Help Desk. This past Tuesday, Hillcrest Elementary’s Cross-Categorical Classroom was transformed into a global wonderland thanks to the incredible efforts of Mrs. Hawrot! Our amazing teacher organized an unforgettable event where students explored different countries, and our wonderful parents brought in delicious foods and fascinating artifacts from around the world. We walked through each country, experiencing diverse cultures and celebrating our vibrant community. It was a day filled with learning, joy, and unity.
