Emily Ancinec Bids Farewell to Crestwood School District After Years of Dedicated Service

Crestwood School District celebrated the remarkable contribution of Emily Ancinec, our esteemed Childcare/Preschool Specialist, who is leaving us to explore a new opportunity in northern Michigan. Emily's unparalleled dedication to the preschool program at Cherry Hill Early Childhood School has left an indelible mark, and she will be deeply missed by her friends and colleagues.
The farewell celebration was graced by notable figures from the district, including Dr. Youssef Mosallam, Superintendent of Schools; Penny Morgan, Chief Financial Officer; Dr. Linda Lazar, Associate Superintendent; Alicia Williams, Early Childhood Specialist; and the entire staff of Cherry Hill Early Childhood School.
Dr. Mosallam highlighted the close-knit relationship he has developed with the Ancinec family, fondly reminiscing the repeat stories shared by the late board trustee, Donna Ancinec, about her daughter Emily. He emphasized that Emily would continue to be a cherished member of the Crestwood family despite her relocation.
Alicia Williams, who has collaborated with Emily for the past seven years, lauded her as a "true value to the childhood program and the community as a whole". Williams admired Emily's passion and commitment, expressing hopes that Emily will carry on pursuing her purpose in her future endeavors.
Dr. Linda Lazar recounted the enriching experience she had working with Emily, who demonstrated great resilience in overcoming challenging situations. Dr. Lazar acknowledged Emily's palpable love for the children she worked with, remarking how much she will be missed.
Expressing her gratitude, Emily described her Crestwood colleagues as a closely-knit family and vowed to maintain the friendships she has fostered here. While she will be relocating to Gaylord, Michigan, her father's presence in Dearborn Heights will ensure she visits frequently.
Kristan Frizzel, who splendidly coordinated the farewell celebration, enthusiastically shared her plans of visiting Emily up north, an area she frequents.
While Emily Ancinec’s departure is bittersweet, the Crestwood School District wishes her the very best in her new journey. We are confident that Emily will bring the same dedication, passion, and love to her new role, just as she has done with us for all these years. Here's to new beginnings, Emily!
